The Red Wing 877 boot is the most iconic Red Wing Shoe available. The Red Wing 877 was released by Red Wing Shoes during Autumn in 1952. The 8 inch Red Wing 877 was designed as a hunting boot. The Red Wing 877 was soon nicknamed ‘Irish Setter’ because of the similarity of the colour of the gundog that would assist a hunter on his trip. The Oro-Legacy leather is based on the leather from the Irish Setter boots from the 1970s. The Red Wing Oro-Legacy leather ages beautifully and shows great craftsmanship. The White Traction Tred sole provides maximum grip and comfort. The Red Wing 877 boot comes with the original gold/tan taslan laces.
