The Armen cardigan in green chive is made in our workshop in France from a yarn developed by a British spinning mill. Composed of 75% Super Geelong lambswool and 25% angora, this yarn gives the cardigan a light, voluminous, and slightly fluffy knit that feels exceptionally soft to the touch and can be worn directly against the skin.

Knitted on size 7 needles, the cardigan features a loose, relaxed fit. The front is entirely machine-knitted, which is particularly rare for a cardigan. This technique allows us to avoid any seams between the two front panels and the button placket.

To achieve this, we use the intarsia technique, which is usually reserved for knitting multiple colors on the same row. Here, it allows us to create a denser, more durable knit so we can form the buttonholes and sew on the buttons. The knitting time is significantly longer, but the quality of the finished product is unmatched.

Only the three corozo buttons are added during assembly. Made from a natural material derived from the nut of a palm tree, they are manufactured and dyed in France, in the Baie de Somme, by one of our long-standing partners.

The green chive green color is an exclusive shade that we haven’t found in any other yarn collection. It highlights the richness of Geelongora yarn and its light, natural down. A men’s cardigan made from Geelong lambswool and angora, crafted in France in the same workshop since 1972, where the craft has been passed down through three generations.
