We studied 1970s selvedge denim in depth and developed this 13oz selvedge
denim to faithfully reproduce the dry touch and irregular surface texture
characteristic of the open-end–spun yarns used at the time. The jeans are made
in an authentic straight silhouette that reflects classic denim design.
Through close research and collaboration with one of Japan’s leading denim
finishing factories, we succeeded in achieving a natural, timeworn color tone—
something that is difficult to attain even after extensive wear.
The result is a pair of jeans that blends subtly and effortlessly into any outfit,
embodying what we believe to be the ideal form of denim as a piece of everyday
wear.
