The True Guy MIJ16 – Genseki Selvedge is based on 19oz Japanese selvedge denim, unsanforized , developed to maximize texture and character . “Genseki” (the “raw gold”) aptly describes the spirit of the fabric: dense, rough, intentionally irregular, with a very pronounced texture thanks to slubby and neppy yarns and a low-tension weave that allows the fiber to express itself.

To maintain its raw feel while avoiding any sizing surprises, the denim undergoes a Tempi treatment : the fabric is stabilized (reducing shrinkage) without smoothing its surface or losing its texture. It also features an earthy-toned weave (warmer under the indigo) and a subtle indigo-red-indigo selvedge edge.
