EDWIN is a pioneering Japanese denim brand founded in Tokyo in 1947 by Tsunemi Yonehachi, born from a genuine fascination with post-war American jeans. Initially an importer of second-hand denim, the label soon developed its own fabrics and made textile history by inventing the stone wash process in the 1980s, thereby revolutionizing denim finishing worldwide. Today recognized for its exceptional craftsmanship, robust selvedge fabrics, and its flagship ED-55 model (now Regular Tapered), EDWIN acts as the perfect bridge between pure Japanese artisanal heritage and the contemporary urban wardrobe.
